Lions sweep NSU for MIAA Baseball final four bid

Dallas Burke-MSSUJOPLIN, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern baseball team took both ends of a doubleheader Sunday against Northeastern State, winning 6-5 and 5-3, and the Lions advanced to the next round of the MIAA Tournament on Thursday in Kansas City.

Southern (31-19) will face off with Pittsburg State at 2:30 p.m. from CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, Kansas as the Gorillas upset second-seed Central Missouri to advance, as well.

Construction to begin on new location for KSEK Radio operations

PITTSBURG, Kan. -- The General Manager for SKIL Media Group, Brandon Nivens, has announced that construction is expected to start Friday, May 3 at 1403 North Broadway in Pittsburg, which will serve as the new home for KSEK-AM/FM radio stations and Pittsburg branch office of the SKIL Resource Center.

Weather forecast changes MIAA Softball Championship schedule

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The projected weather forecast has forced a change in the schedule for the MIAA Softball Championship.

The tournament will now begin on Friday, May 3, with the first-round games getting underway at 2 p.m. and second-round games at 4 p.m. from the Blue Valley Recreation Complex in Overland Park, Kan.
