PSU football to host annual Ladies Night

PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Pittsburg State head coach Tim Beck, along with the Gorilla Football staff and the 2012 team, will hold the third annual Ladies Night at the Pitt on Saturday, Aug. 18.

Attendees will be able to meet the Pitt State coaching staff, learn football basics, enjoy a social hour and watch the Gorillas fall scrimmage. The $25 registration fee will also provide a gift for all attendees and door prizes will be given away

The event begins at 6 p.m. with registration in the Grubbs Hall Lobby. Grubbs Hall is located on the corner of Joplin and Cleveland Streets. Football 101 with the Pitt State coaches starts at 6:45 p.m. The social hour will be in Carnie Smith Stadium at about 7:30 p.m. with the fall scrimmage beginning at 8 p.m. Team Threads will also be on hand to sell their new merchandise for the upcoming season.

All proceeds from Ladies Night at the Pitt go to Angels Among Us.

The Pitt State Football program first hosted Ladies Night at the Pitt in August 2010. The Gorillas won the 2010-11 MIAA Community Engagement Award for the event.
